Compliance Summary Remarks:
Visited well site at 11:20 on Monday, 26 July, 2021 due to a report of a sheen being present on the pond surface (west) behind the well pad. No free product is visible on the well pad and no evidence that any product has left the well pad. Containment tanks have some rainwater, but no oil. Compressor skid has some oil on the skid but not off skid. There is an old stain on the soil on the east side of the skid, but it’s just a stain, not product. The shale pit pond itself is actively being filled in. A stream of dump trucks is bringing in fill material & a dozer is leveling it into the pond. The trucks are entering the construction through the gate to the well site. I did see 2 fresh oil stains in the dirt on the side of the road the dump trucks are using to access the site, but these stains didn’t flow off. The fresh stains are ~2’ x 3’ in diameter, like engine oil being changed. The shale pit pond has trash and black plastic corrugated piping floating around. It appears to have been used as a dump site for some time prior. I did not witness a sheen on the pond, but I could only see some of the pond.
