Compliance Summary Remarks:
FIR is for a reported spill, from 06/12/19. Capstone reported that a small amount of fluids had spilled into the containment, and the fluids did contain some oil. When I arrived, I found that approx 50 bbls of mostly oil, had blown out of the tanks and was standing in the containment. A very small amount of the fluids was leaking through a small crack in the containment, but was puddling next to the outside wall. The injection pumps were operating at 1200 PSI, and did not appear to be having any issues. I contacted Kyle Bateman, who advised that their main filter had clogged, and caused fluids to blow out of the tanks. BATEMAN advised that he had cleared the filter, and was making arrangements for a clean up crew. On the morning of this inspection, myself and Mike Passmore met BATEMAN on the location, and were advised that the fluids were going to be pumped from the containment and disposed of at an oil disposal in Oklahoma. BATEMAN advised that once the spill was cleaned, they were also going to clean the inside and outside of all tanks, to clear them of any further oils and sludge. By mid morning, the fluids were down to mostly sludge in the bottom of the containment, and were being cleaned by hand and pumped out. BATEMAN was advised to contact our office, once the tanks and containment was cleaned, and we would make a follow up inspection. At the time of this inspection, no other equipment or area had been effected by the spill. Operator contacted.MP Issue resolved.MP
